Our client, a leading European buyout house, has recently opened a new office in Warsaw focusing on Central and Eastern Europe, in particular Poland and Romania. The team was set up back in 2006 and has well-developed deal flow across the region. With the new office now well established, it is keen to hire an associate to help the team consolidate its position in the market and execute transactions. You’ll be involved in every aspect of the transaction process right from the start.
You’re encouraged to take a commercial approach to investments, and show initiative and understanding of the private equity investment model from the get-go. The role will be permanently based in Warsaw – with the potential to help open a new office in Bucharest in a few years’ time should you be interested in such a move – so it’s important that you’re committed to being based in the region in the longer term. This is a great opportunity to help a leading buyout fund grow its CEE focused business in what is an increasingly important market for private equity.
You’ll need to show:
Sustained success throughout academic career; MBA a plus but not required
Strong financial modelling skills
A commercial approach to business. You must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of key business drivers.
Experience from a leading international investment bank or strategy consultancy
Ideally have worked in UK, Germany, or US and have experience of the Anglo-Saxon investment model
Desire to focus on CEE region and be based in Warsaw
An entrepreneurial approach and willingness to be a part of a small team developing a new office
Fluent English and either Polish or Romanian
