Our client is a recognised leading global food and dairy manufacturer and distributor with a turnover in excess of US$1Billion. They have a strong presence in the Middle East and are seeking to expand their presence by acquisition and internal growth. Their shared services function employs over 30 staff and processes thousands of payments per month.  You can be an integral part of this continuing success story. 

The Role

• To provide a customer focused, business oriented, financial shared service to the organisation by efficiently managing the financial accounting and payments functions.

• Produce internal financial statements for approximately 50 business units

• Provision of legal financial statements.

• Maintain Balance sheets for multiple separate legal entities

• Maintain effective supplier payment process for 1,000 suppliers, processing 7,000 invoices per month.

• Improve the efficiency of the Shared Services Department through the utilisation of technology

• Set and achieve shared services objectives.

• Development of shared services employees

• Interface with external service providers including key suppliers, technical, legal and consultancy service providers, and internal liaison  with senior management in all business divisions up to and including CEO.

This is a key position with responsibility for managing payments to suppliers resolving any issues in a friendly and efficient manner with interface with Heads of Departments and Procurement. Requirements

• A relevant Accountancy Qualification and a Business Degree

• A minimum 5 years post qualification experience.

• Experience in working in a SAP or ERP environment.

• Experience in management of supplier payments.

• Self Starter with Commercial acumen and problem solving abilities with specific examples to demonstrate this.

• Experience in relevant field of food, manufacturing,FMCG or distribution.

• Excellent relationship and communication skills and the ability to deal with people from different levels of seniority and different disciplines and cultures.

• Excellent analytical skills and strong achievement orientation

• Ability to work on several tasks at once to meet tight deadlines.
