Broadreach Group has been mandated to conduct a search on behalf of a Global Investment Bank for a Data Warehouse Developer. The developer will work on a data-warehousing application that provides management reporting and analytics data to various business stakeholders within the firm.
The successful candidate will participate in the full lifecycle of system development: - Analyze and translate business requirements into system requirements. - Design technical solution including ETL, data modeling and OLAP. - Coordinate UAT and system delivery. - The candidate will also be responsible for enhancing and supporting existing infrastructure and code libraries. - The candidate should be proficient with data warehousing technologies/concepts (ETL, SCD etc). - Web application framework experience is a plus. Experience/Skills: - At least three years of development experience preferably in Financial Services. - Prior experience in building data warehousing applications required. - Strong data analysis and data modeling skills required. - SQL and Stored procedures (ideally DB2 UDB but will also consider Sybase or Oracle) required. - Good interpersonal and communication skills required. - Good knowledge of object oriented design and development in Java. - Demonstrated successful track-record working within a team environment. - Experience with J2EE/Spring/Struts/Web Application Framework preferred. - Experience with OLAP tools such as Hyperion Essbase or Sybase IQ is a plus. - Perl and general scripting preferred.
