Operations Business Analyst
The Listed Derivatives Operations team is looking for an LDO control AVP to join the team in London ROLE SUMMARY:
Candidate will be responsible for the production of daily control reporting pack for the EMEA Listed Derivative Business Management and Front Office and all of the associated analysis of explaining and resolving any breaks arising in this area in a timely manner. Complete Front to Back reconciliations of Exchanges to Back Office platforms on a daily basis and sign off on the Balance Sheet will be required on a monthly basis. In addition the candidate will be expected to participate in a Front to Back Finance/Operations Re-Engineering initiative: documenting all product and accounting flows from end to end and providing insight into making these process flows more efficient, granular and less manually intensive.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
- Documentation of all Product and Accounting Flows from FO to BO as they pertain to the Listed Derivative Business. - Production of a GAP Analysis comparing and contrasting existing Product and Accounting Flows with a defined target state. - Contribute to the definition and deployment of a business plan to address the gaps defined in the document above. - Production of Daily Reporting Pack with metrics of breaks, fails - Daily Reconciliaton of Exchanges to Back Office position keeping platforms - Investigation and resolution of cash and position breaks - SOX testing and documentation - Participate in ensuring monthly legal, regulatory and internal controls are adhered to and documented. - Contribute to continuous system enhancement and development work.
The candidate will role directly into the manager of the LDO Control Team, which currently comprises 10 people in EMEA; and part of the wider LDO organization with 140 individuals across all trading regions. The candidate will work closely with Client Services, Clearing, Collateral within Operations as well as Product Control and Financial Accounting in the Finance Organisation
TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
• Minimum of Part-Qualified Accountant • Undergraduate Degree • Should have experience of Control Role • Advanced excel • Listed Derivative Product Experience preferred • Familiarity with GMI and PeopleSoft advantageous • Investment Banking Operations Experience is desirable
