Data Architects/Modelers and DBA's are needed to play the critical role in designing and implementing a next generation derivatives pricing engine. - Logical and Physical Data Architecture knowledge across domains and platforms
- Experience delivering data-centric products
- Deep aptitude for highly complex data structures
- Relevant and practical experience working with massive data sets
Candidates should be experts on the pros and cons of a wide range of data designs (logical, relational, hierarchical, vector based) and data systems (Oracle, UDB, DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, etc) Strong knowledge of all things data: pricing data, tic data, reference data, static data, etc Hands on experience with SQL on a variety of platforms is a must; programming experience with other languages is a big plus Knowledge of Derivatives (credit or other structured products) and exposure to a variety of other asset classes is highly preferred DBA Candidates will come from a development environment, not from production. Ability to prototype and write schemas is necessary Candidates who have obtained graduate degrees in Physics, Econometrics, EE or related discipline would also be a major plus
