Morgan Stanley's European Consolidated Reporting team are looking for a Senior Analyst to assist in the production and analysis of consolidated firmwide Revenue, Expense, PBT, client and ad hoc reporting.

European Management Reporting encompasses a variety of analytical, reporting and accounting functions, including Consolidated Reporting, Equity, Fixed Income, IT Finance, Fixed Assets and various other Infrastructure Controllers and project teams. The group also forms a point of contact for numerous ad-hoc queries and liaises with the different business units and regional controllers in order to provide a unified source of information to internal clients.

Consolidated Reporting serves Morgan Stanley’s senior management, providing regular reporting and analysis on European-wide revenues, expenses and PBT.  Major functions include the preparation of:
• P&L and PBT reports
• Quarterly Board packs and performance reviews
• Country and Client Reporting
• Consolidated Expense Analysis including Firm Management Expenses

The Role:
Working with senior management within the group, the candidate will be involved in the production and analysis of consolidated firmwide Revenue, Expense, PBT, client and ad hoc reporting. The candidate will also have significant involvement in internal Finance projects.

The candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
• Various project management duties (data extraction and analysis, presentation building, etc) relating to internal Finance projects
• Production of daily and weekly revenue reporting
• Production of monthly and quarterly revenue, PBT, headcount, country and client reporting along with in-depth analysis
• As with all team members, providing coverage across the team and assisting with a variety of ad-hoc requests

Skills Required:

Experience:
Qualified ACA/CIMA/CFA/CIMA  with a proven track record in a banking environment, with strong analysis and management reporting experience.
Previous banking experience is essential.
A proven track record of working and communicating with senior levels of management.

Technical Skills:
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint and database structures.
A thorough understanding of general ledgers and related structures. A proven ability to source, extract and manipulate data is essential.
Willingness to learn new systems, with a strong emphasis on technology and process improvement.
Strong oral and written communication skills, an organised approach and the ability to work to exceptionally tight deadlines.
