This is a key role and will be a very high profile appointment. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• The structuring and drafting of new and ongoing corporate transactions relating to both the funds and the company.

• Drafting and advising in respect of a vast range of commercial agreements.

• Managing external legal counsel (both UK and in multiple international jurisdictions).

• Providing ad hoc legal advice in respect of other miscellaneous legal issues including complex international investment structuring, listing requirements, human resources etc.

Your experience to date must include:

• Team worker.

• Experience in financial services and funds practice (mid tier /boutique firm experience minimum).

• Able to practice in England and Wales and have a current practising certificate or if not, is eligible to obtain one.

• Good knowledge of: drafting documentation; general principles of financial services law;  fund structuring; financial regulation generally; and willing to be a “generalist” where needed.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to boast at least 3-5 years of related legal experience of working within the fund management industry.  Ideally, our client are expecting hands-on experience of working 'in-house' although this is not mandatory - experience of working with an Investment bank or leading magic circle firm is also considered highly desirable.
