Lead a team within Controller Business Operations who will provide comprehensive controller support to the CIO organization.

Business Leader - Controller Business Operations
Lead a team within Controller Business Operations who will provide comprehensive controller support to the CIO organization.
Successfully translate emerging technology strategies, business relationships and initiatives into controller and financial statement impacts. Align through Finance and other key stakeholders for efficient application of Visa's accounting policies.
Continue to improve the communication, controls, tools, and framework used for assessment and communication of financial impacts of software development projects and the efficiency and effectiveness of recording the impacts of "in progress" software development projects as part of the monthly Ensure accurate accounting for acquisitions and disposals of facilities, technology and software assets, including assessment and documentation accounting impacts of large and complex multi-year software contracts. This includes fostering ongoing interaction with global sourcing and accounts payable to ensure timely, seamless and automated information transfer from these teams and systems to Controller Business Operations and Oracle fixed assets.
Build and maintain ongoing and regular communication with CIO leadership and finance business partners to ensure that controllership is aware of emerging business decisions/ developments to ensure seamless support to the business.
Collaborate with Controller Business Operations leadership to develop a common set of tools and communication protocols with which to interact with the Business.
Manage period-end accrual processes for the CIO organization.
Establish change management protocol, including quarterly significant issues questionnaire for CIO activities close and periodic monitoring of development projects for potential changes in scope, timing, or impairment indicators.
Establish baseline understanding of key business controls surrounding financial information provided to controllership as part of the monthly close and establish, maintain and monitor changes to these controls as necessary.
Be the accounting ambassador to the business, consulting as necessary on application of accounting policies to emerging business and contractual relationships and other support questions.
Together with other leaders within Controller Business Operations, lead the drafting and execution of Operational Policies.
Qualifications
Highly motivated management team member with experience cultivating relationships inside and outside of primary organization.
Proven ability to attract high caliber individuals, develop teams and talent with diverse capabilities, provide constructive feedback, and develop successors and talent pools.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 10+ years of progressive experience at a publicly held global company.
In-depth knowledge and recent experience with application of SOP 98-1
Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure in a high volume and fast paced dynamic environment.
CPA required, MBA preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess business acumen to understand high level corporate initiatives yet be able to manage day-to-day tactical decisions to ensure delivery of all key initiatives.
Strong leadership, change and project management experience and exceptional organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure in a high volume and fast paced dynamic environment.
Experience with Oracle GL and knowledge of advanced Excel or database skills
