My client, a leading Insurer based in Chelmsford, is currently seeking a qualified accountant to undetake financial and regulatory reporting in relation to investment portfolios. Liaising with internal and external customers to formulate and to implement policy is a key requirement of the role.
Responsibilities include: * Contribute to the refinement of processes, procedures and systems to improve the efficient processing of investment accounting matters * Perform investment accounting activities in line with internal procedures to ensure the investment accounting function complies with internal and external requirements * Supervise and monitor compliance of the investment portfolios to ensure they meet internal guidelines and external regulations * Undertake investigations into problems and business change in order to identify a proposed solution, asses risk and ensure delivery of projects * Provide advice, guidance and information on financial systems matters to support decision making and improve understanding on financial management * Prepare and maintain the investment accounting ledgers * Produce all statutory, regulatory and corporate returns to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant and have gained experience auditing Insurance or other financial services clients
